Thought I'd do a small batch of updates. What we've been up to ahead of a major website re-design – which follows on from our rebrand and a very, very slow roll-out. Although these little bits are aside from our work with Hampshire County Council, Molton Brown, Hillier Gardens, ParkLifeKids… and I’m not going to attribute a couple of them as one is unfinished and the other has gone in a totally different direction!

This one isn’t a secret and is for the Salisbury Cathedral Flower Festival and amounted to a sub-brand plus grids and stylesheets for the programme (they have someone internally who artworks most off their collateral).

We love fireworks night at Park Corner and were delighted to be asked to produce the posters and a programme for the Round Table display in Winchester this year.

The annual event attracts a huge audience and promises to be even bigger and better this year with the world’s first interactive firework display. Local residents have been texting in their choice for how the display should end with either a Scream, Flash or Bang and helping raise extra money for Winchester Round table’s Guy Fawkes charities this year.

Toby Randle said: ‘We are so grateful to Park Corner for the fantastic work they did for us this year on the programme. We have been running this event for 52 years now, and this is certainly our best programme by a country mile. Most of the credit for this should go to Liz and David at Park Corner whose skill, patience, attention to detail and stylish design was immense. You managed to improve almost every element of the programme and our sponsors are all well pleased. Thanks again.’

Media_httpwwwparkcorn_ebbva

Renowned British based sculptors exploring and responding to the theme of Liminality, or transitional space, using the spectacular surroundings of the 750 year old building as their inspiration and canvas.

We produced the 24-page brochure to accompany the exhibition and designed the concepts for the brochure in advance in preparation for the fast turnaround required. The sculptures were positioned on a Tuesday, photographed on a Wednesday, and the final printed brochure was supplied for the launch night on the Friday ... phew!

Jacquiline Creswell, the curator of the exhibition, said this about working with us: ‘I wanted to thank you personally for the fantastic creative material you produced on Liminality… compliments from every corner, sculptors in particular.’

The event is on until 12 November 2010.

Hey look, my friend Ben (more picky about typography than anyone I know, have ever known, or will ever know… always with a solution… just no website to call his own) sent me this link, very nice stuff. Thanks very much.

The Winter Olympics collateral for Vancouver… very nice, very nice indeed. Makes you wonder why it’s so difficult to get right (Olympics graphics in general) when there are people out there who make it look so easy, but it seems to me that there are decent graphics once every 10 years or so. Correct me if I'm wrong but a four year deadline sounds sounds quite generous. Via SurfStation.
